About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company name] ("we", "us"), which runs Mira. By creating an account, you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
Who can use Mira
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must be legally able to agree to these terms, and must not have been banned from Mira before.
- You must not have been convicted of a sexual or violent offence.
- One account per person, and it must be you: your real first name, real age and recent photos of you.
Mira is an AI
Mira, our matchmaker, is an AI system, not a person. She can get things wrong. Her intros and notes are suggestions, not facts about anyone. We don't guarantee matches, dates or relationships.
Rules
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, insult or intimidate anyone, or keep contacting someone who's said no.
- Ask anyone for money, gifts or financial details, or promote investments, crypto or trading.
- Send sexual content to anyone who hasn't clearly asked for it, or post nudity or sexual content in photos.
- Pretend to be someone else, or post photos that aren't of you.
- Use Mira for sex work, advertising, recruiting or any other commercial purpose.
- Share anyone else's personal information without their permission.
- Scrape, copy or misuse Mira or other members' data, or try to get around our safety features.
- Use Mira if you're under 18, or contact anyone under 18.
Safety and moderation
We use automatic checks and a human review team. We may hold back messages, remove photos, limit features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these rules or put others at risk, and we may report illegal activity to the police. To appeal a decision, email support@mira.app.
We don't run criminal background checks, and selfie verification only confirms someone looks like their photos. Meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and report anything that worries you. If you're in danger, call 999.
Your content
You own what you post. You give us permission to store, process and show it so we can run Mira: for example, showing your profile to people you're introduced to and using it to match you. That permission ends when you delete your content or your account, except for anything we must keep for legal or safety reasons.
Subscriptions
Mira Plus and Premium are paid subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play. They renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings. Prices are shown before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. [Confirm once in-app purchases are live.]
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Our responsibility to you
We provide Mira with reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for how other members behave, on or off Mira, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll ask you to accept the new version in the app.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
